Virginia Bertrand and Jeff Turner have been in love for a while now. He proposed in June 2019 and they planned their special day for May 22, 2020. Then came Covid19. So, they got married in a small family ceremony at St. Thomas Chapel in Eunice on May 22nd. Two weeks later, Virginia was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

As a high school science teacher in Hathaway, Louisiana, she continues to dedicate herself to students, however she is on a long journey towards remission … 18 rounds of chemo, surgeries, radiation, and all that goes with it.

These “v” bracelets will be a way to show our support and be a daily reminder to keep Virginia in our thoughts and prayers.
