Melissa Brock has been recently diagnosed with advanced leukemia and admitted to Houston Methodist to start chemotherapy. She is also a heart warrior and has soared through open heart surgery/procedures in the past.

Melissa most values her family that has grown in the past few years which is her motivation to kick this leukemia to the curb! She is happily married, a mother to two older sons (and one fur baby), a grandmother to three grandchildren, and the youngest female of her 4 siblings.

Melissa is an animal lover, in particular chihuahuas. Her favorite color is pink, her favorite flowers are tulips and she is a fan of motorcycles. Her favorite things to collect are salt and pepper shakers. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, gardening (when her health allowed it), and traveling to places with beautiful scenery.
