In November 2020, less than a year after her wedding day and just before her 29th birthday, Caroline Harper discovered a large tumor in her breast and was diagnosed with breast cancer. After finishing 6 rounds of chemo, she will undergo a double mastectomy and possibly radiation after surgery.

During this difficult time, Caroline and her husband, Barry, have been amazed and humbled by the love shown by Caroline’s support group, #TeamSweetCaroline. Recently, Caroline received news that her tumor has greatly reduced in size as a result of chemotherapy.  Her family and close friends believe that the support of #TeamSweetCaroline and a strong faith is the fuel that has helped lead to her excellent response to the cancer treatments. The last round of chemo will be in April, followed soon after by surgery and then radiation.

Although thrilled to be almost done with chemo and to have received encouraging news from doctors, Caroline’s road to remission is still a long one. Due to the impacts of COVID-19 and the additional risks it brings to a person with a compromised immune system, Caroline is unable to work in her job as a Behavioral Therapist to children with autism. In addition to increasing medical expenses, her inability to work creates another challenge for Caroline.

Please consider joining #TeamSweetCaroline and support Caroline on the road to remission. Proceeds will go towards Caroline’s medical expenses.
